Squirrels Class ‘Learning to Read’ parent information session

We would like to invite parents of Squirrels class to a 'Learning to Read' session on Wednesday, January 10th from 3.15-3.45pm. Mrs Pincott will explain how our phonics lessons work, show you the reading books which will be coming home and be able to answer 

Nursery Cake Sale

Nursery would like to hold a fundraising cake sale to raise money for some new toys and resources for the Rainbow Room children. Please can all cake donations be brought into school on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th. The cakes will be available to buy 

Non-uniform Express Yourself Day

We will be celebrating Children's Mental Health Week in school, starting with a non-uniform 'Express Yourself day' on Monday 5th February. Children could wear their favourite colour/s or a unique outfit to express how they're feeling, it can be as simple or elaborate as you like! 

Children’s Mental Health Week

Children's Mental Health Awareness Week will take place from 5th to 11th February 2024, with the theme of My Voice Matters. It was set up by children's mental health charity Place2Be and shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people's mental health.

Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day takes place in February of each year to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, and especially for children and young people.

Outdoor Learning Sessions with Ninesprings Rangers

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, we have arranged for the Ninesprings Rangers to visit school on Wednesday 7th February for some outdoor learning sessions. Each class will visit our environment garden and enjoy making clay coil pots and jugs, toasting marshmallows and enjoying

Thursday 8th February Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children invited £1 per child to include drink and a snack

World Thinking Day

We would like to invite all children at Reckleford to take part in World Thinking Day and give thanks and appreciation for friendships, both locally and internationally. If your child attends a club or group out of school and would like to wear the uniform
