Admissions

Parents wishing to apply for their child to start school should complete the local authority application process. All applications need to be made direct to Somerset County Council.

Information of the process and the online application form can be found on the Somerset County Council website (www.somerset.gov.uk).  Follow the Children, families and education tab which leads to applying for school Tab for more information. The website contains a copy of the Primary Admissions Guide which gives full details of the oversubscription criteria.  If you have difficulty accessing this please contact us on 01935 475938 or visit the school office.

Parents wishing to apply for a place in the school (other than a first admission for the reception class) should complete an ‘In Year’ Somerset County Council application form. This can be found either on the Somerset County Council website by following the route – Education and Families – School Applications – and In-Year School Admissions or a paper application is available from the school. The application form should be returned to the school. The school follows the local authority oversubscription criteria, full details are available on the Somerset County Council website.

Please note that for safeguarding reasons all parents will be required to provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate when their child joins the school.
